built for the outdoors – when you and your ‘indestructible’ smartphone aren’t (sic) – the little green gadget acts as a personal aid when times are tough. the radio features an FM, MW and LW radio but also a torch, siren, solar power, a built in micro-USB cable, and a self-powered crank to produce enough battery to charge your mobile phone – so you can at the very least check if it still functions.

senior product designer at gibson innovations, catherine wong, is responsible for the device’s design, which hopes to be immediately recognizable as a survival kit. the olive-green product features a cross-shaped speaker on the back, to provide the latest news of any major disaster whilst recognizably simple graphics navigate the user to the products other multiple features.
